The Founder
Mark Payne, founder of Grupo Transturi, is a Dallas, Texas native. He has an undergraduate degree in Latin American Studies from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. Payne, a serial adventurer, leverages a lifetime of Latin American travel and passion for the region to share the best this exciting part of the globe has to offer. He is considered a Latin American regional expert having lived in Mexico and Central America, studied modern Latin American literature in Central Mexico and consulted with companies & governments in the region.
Fluent in Spanish and English, Mark has always avoided being a “tourist” in the traditional sense of the word.
